Becoming a Scuba Diver
Step One:
Try Scuba
The SSI Try Scuba program is the best way to try scuba diving for the first time. Enjoy those first unforgettable breaths underwater and experience the magic of scuba diving!
Requirements:
None! This is your introduction to diving. We do however recommend bringing some friends along!
Step Three:
Advanced Open Water Diver
With the AOWD recognition level acquired, you will open for yourself excellent new opportunities for exploring different types of marine life and experiencing different diving environments.
Requirements:
Complete the following:

Night and Limited Visibility
Step Four:
Specialty Courses
Continue your adventures and get the skills and experience you need to dive the world’s best dive sites, with SSI advanced training programs. Visit the shop's specialty courses for more information!
Requirements:

Complete specialty courses to earn their respective certifications. Completing 2 specialty courses and 12 dives will automatically recognize you as a Specialty Diver!
